As one of the oldest and most respected Swimming Clubs in the county, we’re proud of a history that stretches back over 125 years!

We’ve been established longer than any other swim club in the area and we’re part of the town’s swimming heritage; from the old baths opened in 1933 to the new Darwen Leisure Centre opened by Princess Anne in 2010…DASC offers children the chance to be part of a Club with a unique spirit.

Our coaches are actively involved in the community – whether that’s giving up their time to “host” Swimming Gala for Blackburn with Darwen Scout & Girl Guide groups to organising food collections for those less fortunate – DASC is here for everyone.

Ensuring your child’s safety is of critical importance to everyone here at Darwen Amateur Swimming Club. We are committed to providing a safe, happy and fun environment where children develop their swimming skills.

The responsibility of safeguarding children does not belong to any one person. Instead it belongs to everyone who plays a part in coaching your child.

We ensure that all our poolside team has appropriate DBS checks and access to Swim England Wavepower training and information.
