As one of the oldest and most respected Swimming Clubs in the county, we’re proud of a history that stretches back over 125 years!

From the opening of the original baths in 1933 to the unveiling of Darwen Leisure Centre (opened by Princess Anne in 2010), DASC continues to offer your children the chance to be part of a Club with a unique spirit.

Our coaches are actively involved in the community – whether that’s giving up their time to “host” Swimming Gala for Blackburn with Darwen Scout & Girl Guide groups to organising food collections for those less fortunate – DASC is here for everyone

Ensuring your child’s safety is of critical importance to everyone here at Darwen Amateur Swimming Club. We are committed to providing a safe, happy and fun environment where children develop their swimming skills.

The responsibility of safeguarding children does not belong to any one person. Instead it belongs to everyone who plays a part in coaching your child. To help we have DASC Codes of Conduct for….

We ensure that all our poolside team has appropriate DBS checks and access to Swim England Wavepower training and information from the NSPCC.
